ANNE PAJUNEN – the interdisciplinary artist has established a unique profile of staged concepts ranging from solos to large scale works. ‘Site specific’ – a favourite concept, along with improvising and new collaborations. Languages, found objects, complex existential questions and/or humour are reoccurring elements combined with voice and live electronic instruments, intricately integrated in the sets of hybrid performance/installation works. She performs internationally and is the artist director of House of S.M.O.K.

In the festival, Anne Pajunen will present her new work:

THE CORPUS OF CRUMBS WILL RULE THE WORLD

– slow down and crawl

Anne Pajunens new hybrid work is a sounding, spatial, visual and sensory installation.

A lament for the importance of the minute. It is in the minuscule, the minute, that we find our hope. Our calls for solutions are mostly meek. We must slow down to sound the alarm, to pay attention to detail. Crumbs will rule the world by slowness – not by rage. We must lower ourselves below the corpus of crumbs to gain worthiness and respect. It is a laboratory for corpus un/mattering. Or an opera in/for the shadows? A theory of white holes as our only hope.

The work is created especially for RABBIT/DUCK 2024 and is initiated by a performance by Anne Pajunen and Toby Kassell on the 18th of October.
The installation will be present in the foyer at Scen 46 both days.
