Title: My body is a room filled with antiques…
Duration: Approx. 40 min
Intrigued by the festival title Rabbit/Duck and it’s underlying concept, Liza Penkova will present a solo performance in which through methods of improvisation she allows herself to dissect and destabilise the original choreographic score of one of her earlier work “My body is a room filled with antiques… “. Originally a twenty minute dance-promenade as a reflection on heritage and traces of dance and dances in her own body. Created during the pandemic years, the original performance was cancelled twice without further continuation. Taking it back, she proposes an extended version where she puts herself face to face with the limits that can shift the perception of content and meaning in her own choreographic writing.
2024, Liza Penkova released her new podcast Beyond Gun Lund, where she interviews some of Gothenburg’s most prominent dance makers.
