Ingeborg Zackariassen’s photography stems from her curiosity about creating an illusion of physicality inside a fixed medium; her photographic work can be experienced as an extension of her movement investigations; translating one expression into another, embracing imperfection.
Ingeborg is interested in how we perceive images and how our behaviour and relationship to photographs changes when they are placed in varying locations. The photographs themselves become an interplay with their surroundings, offering different levels of abstraction, sticking out of or blending into different environments, creating a performative presence of their own.
