About No Deadline

No Deadline is an interdisciplinary art platform based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Stemming from the choreographic duo consisting of Toby Kassell and Ingeborg Zackariassen, No Deadline has expanded into an array of collaborations with artists and composers: Johan Jutterström, Magda Mayas, Linda Oláh, Arvid Kraft, Melina Bigale, Louisa Palmi, Kepler Trio, Donovan von Martens, Anne Pajunen et. al.

With deep roots in dance, Kassell and Zackariassen depart from their professional experience as dancers since 1994 and 2000 respectively, using conceptual frameworks and including writing, spoken word and visual art, in a continuous cross pollination and dialogue with their moving bodies which situates them in the expanded choreographic field of contemporary art.

No Deadline’s artistic practices are rooted in movement, with improvisation and composition as a strong core.
Collaboration is central in their creative processes, and although each of their pieces contain their own specificity and clarity,  their body of work gives an eclectic impression as a whole; rather than insisting on a “signature”, a multiplicity of expressions becomes a direct result of their openness to take on various shapes and forms in response to the context of each artistic process.

Another important factor in No Deadline’s work is to critically investigate the relationships and hierarchies between artforms, with the goal of creating more space for works to take on unexpected expressions, giving agency for them to  wander in other directions than before, as re-imagined, transformed entities.

Since 2023, No Deadline curates the annual Rabbit/Duck Interdisciplinary Art Festival, which focuses on artists working in the in-between spaces, in-between categories, outside of norms, illuminating those who challenge categorisations, those who create new questions with their art.

No Deadline’s aim is to develop their platform in the coming years, offering a space for other artists to experiment and perform, as well as introducing the general public to art experiences they may otherwise miss.
